Dr Christine Mucha
Chief Executive Officer

Following a distinguished career as an agricultural scientist, in 1997 Dr Christine Mucha was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hobart Water.
At Hobart Water, Dr Mucha is responsible for a team of around 80 employees. Charged with ensuring the region receives high quality drinking water, the organisation is also required by its owners - the eight local councils in and around Hobart - to return a dividend each year while supplying bulk water at an acceptable price and a high quality.
Dr Mucha oversees all aspects of the business, including its human, financial and physical resources. Hobart Water is a registered Training Organisation in Water Operations and has achieved Certified Environmental Management status for its care of the environment and recently received accreditation for its Hazard and Critical Control Point System.

Ms Tiziana Botti
Executive Manager, Marketing & Community Relations

Ms Botti was appointed as Manager, Marketing & Community Relations in June 2005. Prior to this she worked for three years at Duke Energy as Community Affairs Manager where she was responsible for community affairs and public relations on the $440 million gas pipeline project. Ms Botti also ran her own successful public relations firm out of Hobart, Tasmania.
Ms Botti is active within the Tasmanian water community as a board member of the Mount Wellington Trust and also a member of the Derwent Estuary Program communications committee.
Mr Cameron Crawford
Executive Manager, Business Development & Strategy
BSc., LLB
Mr Crawford was reappointed to Hobart Water as Manager, Business Development & Strategy in January 2007. He previously worked at Hobart Water for four years as Marketing Manager. Cameron has had a broad range of work experiences, including roles at both Fosters Australia and the Federal Group in Tasmania. Cameron also did a number of years consulting in the tourism and major events sector in Tasmania.
Mr Ian Dunbabin
Executive Manager, Production & Supply
MSc, BE (Elec)
Mr Dunbabin joined Hobart Water as Manager, Production & Supply in May 2004. Prior to this he served in the Royal Australian Navy for 22 years in a diverse range of sea-going and shore based leadership and engineering management roles.
Career role highlights include test engineer for the ship control system of the first two Collins Class submarines during construction and sea acceptance; submarine trials officer in the Navy's Test Evaluation and Acceptance Authority, developing and conducting first-of-class operational trials for the Collins Class; and active service in the frigate HMAS DARWIN during the peace-keeping operations in East Timor.
Mr Russell Fox
Executive Manager, Water Infrastructure

Mr Fox has been employed at Hobart Water since 1995, where he has worked in numerous executive roles and has worked in the water industry for nearly 20 years.
Prior to joining Hobart Water, Mr Fox worked for the then, Department of Primary Industries & Fisheries as Project Engineer and the Rivers & Water Supply Commission as Irrigation Engineer.
Mrs Lynn Hallam
Executive Manager, Human Resources

Mrs Hallam is one of Hobart Water’s longest standing staff members commencing employment in 1972. Mrs Hallam has worked in various divisions including administration and finance before moving into Human Resources in 1997. Her extensive experience of Hobart Water adds invaluable knowledge to the organisation and its Human Resources division.
Mrs Hallam is an active member of the local human resources community, currently completing her sixth year term on the Australian Human Resources Institute, Tasmanian division. She is also on the Government Skills Australia, Industry Advisory Committee for Water Training Package.
Mr Conrad Lennon
Chief Financial Officer
B.Com., CPA
Mr Lennon joined Hobart Water in May 2004. Prior to joining Hobart Water Mr Lennon worked in a number of organisations including Hobart City Council and Henderson Automotive Group where he was Assistant Financial Accountant and Financial Controller respectively. Prior to these roles Mr Lennon spent 11 years working for BHP Limited in a variety of financial roles, based throughout Australia and San Francisco.
Ms Carolyn Pillans
Secretary/ Executive Manager Governance
G.A.I.C.D., M.I.I.A.
Ms Pillans joined Hobart Water as Secretary/Manager Governance in February 2006. She previously worked at Developing Potential (Aust) Pty Ltd for ten years where she was Director/RTO Compliance. She was also Business Manager at RotorLift Helicopters for two years where she managed administration and client management for the business.

Mr Danny Sutton
Executive Manager, Business Planning & Process

Mr Sutton has been with Hobart Water since 2001 where he has worked in several management roles. Previously he worked for five years at Impact Fertilisers as Marketing Manager, where he was responsible for national and international sales, distribution and marketing of fertilisers. He was also Director, Human Resources and Strategy at the Department of Primary Industry and Fisheries responsible for strategic planning, human resource management and corporate communications functions.
Ms Lara van den berg
Environment & Catchment Manager
B.Sc.
Ms van den Berg joined Hobart Water in 2002 as Catchment and Environment Coordinator. Her extensive knowledge and experience at Hobart Water saw her move into the role of Leader in late 2006, and is an active member within the Tasmanian water industry. She is a deputy member on the Wellington Park Management Trust Board and now sits on the Tasmanian Branch of the Australian Water Association. She is a member of numerous working groups within the Wellington Park Management Trust and Derwent Estuary Program.
