Charity efforts
Hobart Water offers support to numerous non-profit organisations throughout the Tasmanian community. In addition to this Hobart Water has joined forces with WaterAid Australia and Kidney Health Australia to support the amazing work undertaken by both organisations do on a daily basis.
WaterAid Australia
As a foundation member, Hobart Water's is committed to supporting WaterAid Australia.
WaterAid Australia is an international aid and development agency dedicated exclusively to the provision of safe domestic water, sanitation and hygiene education to some of the poorest communities in South East Asia and Pacific regions.
WaterAid Australia's vision is of a world in which all people have access to safe water and sanitation. Since WaterAid's inception they have helped more than 8 million people gain access to improved water supplies.
Hobart Water, along with many other water industry members has made a commitment to raise funds for WaterAid Australia and to raise awareness within their local communities. As part of this commitment, Hobart Water has set up a committee - The Southern Tasmanian Committee - which comprises of staff and external stakeholders to raise funds for WaterAid. Regular fundraisers are held to raise funds for the organisation.

Kidney Health Australia
Kidney Health Australia, formerly the Australian Kidney Foundation, was officially formed 38 years ago. It is a non-profit organisation with a mission to be the lead organisation promoting kidney and urinary tract health through research, consumer participation, education and health service excellence.
In Tasmania, Hobart Water and Kidney Health Australia have joined forces to promote the healthy messages of water to the community. The two organisations come together at public events, sporting events and general education. 
The partnership with between Hobart Water and Kidney Health Australia combines financial assistance with a range of educational projects. Hobart Water will incorporate information about kidney disease and prevention in its education and community materials and Kidney Health Australia's volunteers will join Hobart Water at a range of forums and community events to help spread the message.
