Preparations underway for new water and sewerage corporations
Tasmanian homes and businesses in reticulated areas will be serviced by one of the state’s new water and sewerage corporations from 1 July.
At a special briefing today, Executive Chairman, Mr Geoff Willis, said that intensive planning is underway across the state to ensure the corporations are operational on ‘Day 1’. Read more

Taskforce Review
The information in this section has been placed here to keep Hobart Water customers and stakeholders briefed on developments during the transition to the commencement of operations of the new southern water and wastwater corporation on 1 July 2009.
In late 2006, the State Government announced a Review would be undertaken into the state's water and wastewater sector. A Taskforce was formed and the process has been playing out.
