Staff Awards 2008

The 2008 Staff Awards were announced at Hobart Water's All Star Staff Breakfast at the Tasmanian Hockey Centre in November.

Winners of the awards were:

Workplace Safe

This award goes to an employee in recognition for consistent adherence to OH&S requirements and ensuring that all employees remain safe at work.

2008 Winner - David Maher

Beyond the Call

This award recognises an employee who, without fail, performs above and beyond the call of duty.

2008 Winner - Brett Pritchard

Striving for Excellence

This award recognises performance which exemplifies commitment to quality service to customers, both internal and external.

2008 Winners - Robert Witek

Pride of Work

This award goes to an employee who performs their job in a manner which reflects the goals and mission of the organisation. This employee consistently achieves a high standard of work performance and at all times displays personal qualities of a high standard.

2008 Winner - Diane Free

Overall Category - Leadership

This overall category recognises the one employee who provides superior leadership and job performance, continually motivates others and leads by example.

2008 Winner - Steve Howe

CEO's Award

This award was presented to Robbie Claydon in recognition of his contribution to Hobart Water over a career spanning 40 years in the water industry.

Hobart Water CEO, Dr Christine Mucha, spoke fondly of Robbie's many years of experience which he brought to the new Hobart Regional Water Authority when the organisation was created in 1997. Chrisinte spoke fondly of Robbie's problem solving ability and his commitment to improving policies and procedures.
