Kingborough Council Schools Poster Competition

Clean water – Essential for life

The annual Kingborough Council School Water Conservation Poster Competition, held in partnership with Hobart Water, attracted a record number of schools in 2008.

The competition invites local primary school students to create an A3 poster based on the 2008 National Water Week message “Clean water – Essential for Life”.

Finalists were selected from the nine participating schools, receiving prizes and certificates donated by local business sponsors, presented by Lara Giddings MP, Deputy Premier and Member for Franklin.

Grade 6 student, Jordan Cairns of Blackmans Bay Primary School, produced a brilliant poster and was announced this year's overall winner.

Congratulations to all students for creating amazing art work, covering a wide range of issues and ideas relating to the importance of clean water to all forms of life.
