Help protect our water catchments

To ensure our water catchments remain pristine and untouched, then we need the public to help us ensure they are being protected. There are several things to remember when visiting any water catchment areas:

  • Use toilets before entering the area,
  • Avoid direct contact with streams,
  • Do not camp within the catchment except within designated areas,
  • Take extra care when discarding rubbish, either take it home with you or place in bins provided,
  • Always obey official signage in the area, and
  • Do not bring domestic animals within a drinking water catchment area.
